For comparison, almost 40% of all beaches in Turkey that receive this quality mark are located in Antalya. Turkey ranks 3rd in the world in the number of Blue Flag beaches, second only to Spain and Greece.
What does that mean?? First of all – clean sea, safe conditions for recreation, high level of service and respect for the environment. Each beach undergoes strict annual checks, so this status cannot be obtained once and for all.
Particularly distinguished are such resort areas as Alanya, Kemer, Kash, Belek, Side and Muratpasha. Only in Alanya there are more than 60 beaches with the Blue Flag.
