Historical origin

With influences from The Metropolitan Museum of Art and New York City, Dresser Metropolitan draws design ideas from The Met's recognizable architecture and iconic steps leading to the museum. Finished with charcoal-gray oak veneer, the cabinet resembles the scale and splendor of the Beaux-Arts entrance and The Met Grand Hall, as well as the museum’s numerous artworks and exhibits and how they are presented. The collection also looks at the city’s iconic skyline, capturing its artistic and dynamic spirit.
