Historical origin
Dining Table Florence borrows design motifs from the Catalan column rod. 1130–1140) from The Cloisters, a section of The Metropolitan Museum of Art dedicated to medieval art and architecture. The marble-stone rod of the column, made in modern France, stands in Cuxa Cloister and recreated from fragments of the XII century monastery of Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa. Dining Table Florence repeats the calm, simple shape of the museum rod and is thoroughly reinterpreted as an elegant travertine table.
