Historical origin
Column Lucca is inspired by a set of six marble columns created in Granada, Spain, between 1350 and 1400 and now in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. These columns originally belonged to the Alhamra, the famous royal palace and city complex in Granada, the name of which means “red” for the red clay used in the construction. Narrow columns are characteristic of the architectural style of the Nasrid dynasty (1232–1492) and are believed to have decorated the outdoor courtyards between the palaces. Column Lucca, made of smooth white marble, turns into a museum-level pedestal for the presentation of your most valuable items.
